Carbon Credit Offsets™ are based upon established scientific protocols, and represent accumulated reductions of CO2 in one pound increments. When a sufficient amount of Carbon Credit Offsets are accumulated, they can be converted into a Carbon Financial Instrument (“CFI”) as defined by the current carbon trading community. Companies using Filtakleen products can now accumulate CFI’s to reduce their own carbon footprint profile.
Example
We baseline the equipment using the Carbon Mass Balance testing Protocol. We install the Filtakleen Engine bypass filters and Fuel catalyst and register the improvement using the Carbon Mass Balance testing Protocol. 105,000,000 gallons per year and increases the fuel economy by 5% improvement in fuel economy would save almost 5,263,157 gallons of diesel fuel annually. A gallon of diesel fuel produces 22.2 pounds of CO2 x 5,263,157 gallons is a reduction of 118,421,032 pounds of CO2 or 73,664 metric tonnes. CO2 is traded by the tonne and as a commodity it is subject to market fluctuations.

Cost Analysis

Based on the numbers above, the annual savings in fuel cost are as follows: At $2.50 per gallon and using gallons of fuel at a 5% savings, 5,263,157 gallons of fuel is saved. The annual savings is 13,157,892
